  • The show about freight

There are few freight shows that get how to have fun and how to make these concepts relatable. This show isn’t one of them. It’s not just a great show about supply chain, it’s simply a fantastic podcast in general. The guy who doesn’t like the enthusiasm sleeps in dirty underwear under a wet blanket.

  • Tone it down

I wanna listen to this podcast and learn more about the industry but the over the top enthusiasm and fake personas is exhausting.

The hosts and guests suggest it is over or at least has shown sustained signs of an uptick, but with caveats about consumer willingness and geopolitical factors that could affect durability.
Why Your “Best Driver” Is Actually Your Biggest Liability
Q: There's a lot of pressure in trucking to clinch deadlines. How can companies balance no-exceptions with maintaining safety and accountability?
Balance comes from setting explicit standards, avoiding different rules for different people, and choosing to pause work when parked to avoid risky behavior, thereby protecting the safety culture over expediency.
Why Your “Best Driver” Is Actually Your Biggest Liability
Q: Mike, you work closely with transportation leaders on safety, culture, and risk. What does good leadership look like when it comes to preventing distracted driving?
Good leadership means establishing clear, enforceable policies, holding everyone accountable, modeling the right behavior, and maintaining consistent expectations across drivers and management alike.
The 851,000 Load Slump: Are GLP-1s Killing Food Logistics?
Q: What's your take on GLP-1s' impact on food and beverage shipments?

The 851,000 Load Slump: Are GLP-1s Killing Food Logistics?
Q: What does stuff look like in today's freight market when talking to clients?
Matt Caine describes a market that has moved past a harsh freight recession but is not yet in expansion; emphasis on stabilizing foundations, building discipline, and tying strategy to people and partnerships.
