In an overwhelmingly Lefty comedic landscape, right-leaning stand-up Geoff Norcott is a rare beast. In WMPT he gets to the heart of what ordinary people think about social and political issues. Whatever the contentious subject – he’ll be honest and blunt, but without being a dick. Mostly. Guests come from across the social and political divide, including, Romesh Ranganathan, Jonathan Pie, Katherin... more

A lot to digest this week after Rachel Reeves dumped on everyone's cornflakes on Tuesday then David Lammy almost made us throw up our lunch the following day. In between times needy Nigel continued his desire to be a news story once a week by rowing ... more
Was a pleasure to welcome back Vittorio for this week's show, as I took the advantage of a younger man's perspective and asked exactly who should be taxed more (spoiler alert, not me). We also respond to mad article in Vogue suggesting young women ar... more
Mark Steel returns this week to shed light on Labour's lowest ever polling, as we contemplate if they're unlucky or just a bit crap? Mark also nearly tempts me other to the Leftie dark side as he puts forward an argument for why we should all gang up... more
I respond Labour's battering in Caerphilly (and the Tories dismal 2%). I also investigate Farage's flounce out of PMQs and ask whether it's political or performative. The Lib Dems get some flak too, as it turns out they may have been feeding Starmer ... more

Everything you say brings a massive smile to my face. As a blind person, life is often tough and hearing your twice weekly podcasts cheers my days. One of your listeners in the past rather harshly said they didn’t like your theme music. Can I say as a music graduate, I absolutely love it. as soon as the theme starts, I move my arms above my head side to side and it really gets me going. Thank you, Geoff for providing some right leaning balance to an otherwise very lefty world.
As a South African Brit this is how I get my news of home… only adding a review to see how Geoff does this in his great accents.
Topical, funny and good mix of guests to get different views.
Love WMPT but the best bit is not knowing the ads I’ll get at the start of the pod since Geoff changed providers. Random ads for American auto shops to something in Eastern European. Shows that Geoff’s podcast is for the most diverse and inclusive audiences! (P.s I’m not using a VPN)
Been listening to Geoff for a couple of years now and always find that his views and opinions are very much in line with myself. He is open to discussion on both sides of politics and will listen and respect other’s views. I would highly recommend a listen as it is worth it just for the Starmer impression alone.
Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing you in November.
Excellent podcast, been listening to it for a decent amount of time. Intelligent but accessible, funny but serious when needed, does a great job of presenting multiple opinions while Geoff (not sic) remains vaguely centre right. Got a weakness for good looking South Londoners, so maybe he needs to release a calendar too
