In an overwhelmingly Lefty comedic landscape, right-leaning stand-up Geoff Norcott is a rare beast. In WMPT he gets to the heart of what ordinary people think about social and political issues. Whatever the contentious subject – he’ll be honest and blunt, but without being a dick. Mostly. Guests come from across the social and political divide, including, Romesh Ranganathan, Jonathan Pie, Katherin... more

What a week for Tom to rejoin me as we analyse everything that's got Keir Starmer to the brink of an early exit. We chat about whether Starmer has a normal voice he's hiding and whether he'll shortly have to do the world's worst gardening leave. We a... more
In this episode I reflect on a PMQS which might go down in history. From the stoney silence behind him to the fact he insisted on calling him simply 'Mandelson'. Then it's onto what happens next, an inquiry is one thing but all the public now know hi... more
Cracking episode this as WMPT favourite Dom returns to chew over all the nomination for the upcoming by-election (before realising they're not great). We then look at Jeremy Clarkson's scathing article about Reform and wonder how that'll go down with... more
This week Jacob Hawley joins me to discuss the 'psychodrama' of Andy Burnham's bid to become a Labour MP and probably take Keir Starmer's job. We also chat about what must've been said in the NEC group / Keir Starmer's BFF round-table. Then we reflec... more

I view myself as economically right of centre with old fashioned liberal ‘live and let live’ leanings. As we are becoming so polarised I also want to challenge myself to give credit where credit is due and support starmer and trump actions when I agree without being caught up in blind tribalism. Needless to say I am struggling to vote for anyone at the moment!
I think Geoff does a good job of cutting through the political nonsense and I sense a certain kinship as he tries to challenge herd lik... more
Been with this podcast since the very beginning so it was about time I wrote a review. If I remember correctly, I discovered Geoff on an early Triggernometry and followed him on from there. Geoff shares honest and common sense opinions, is never driven by ideology and often has an original or clever take that no-one else seems to have considered. Despite the multitude of podcasts, What Most People Think remains the one that I look forward to the most. Long may it continue.
Have really loved this podcast, listen every week now , funny, quite balanced ,sometimes don’t agree but makes me think of different views. Great guests but best was your son tonight! All the best for 2026. x
I’ve been listening to Geoff’s podcast from the beginning and I never miss an episode…funny, balanced with an Everyman look at politics and the world.
This is definitely one to have in your rotation for UK politics. The views of a reasonable bloke with reasonable views delivered in a witty and comfortable format. Guests are entertaining and the impressions aren’t half bad either. Best bit, of course, is the theme tune which you *will* find yourself humming at random intervals throughout the week. Give it a shot. There are a lot of worse things you could do with your time.
