In an overwhelmingly Lefty comedic landscape, right-leaning stand-up Geoff Norcott is a rare beast. In WMPT he gets to the heart of what ordinary people think about social and political issues. Whatever the contentious subject – he’ll be honest and blunt, but without being a dick. Mostly. Guests come from across the social and political divide, including, Romesh Ranganathan, Jonathan Pie, Katherin... more

Really interesting episode this week as the brilliant Davina Bentley makes her debut. We discuss the conflict in Iran, Labour sneaking out another ministerial casualty, social media bans for under 16's and being a dad - whilst somehow managing to tur... more

Geoff Norcott must be one of the hardest working comedians in Britain. How he manages to put out these high quality broadcasts twice a week, roam around the country trying to make people laugh in his shows, and make appearances on broadcast media is beyond me. I usually require a recovery nap just going into town for a bargain coffee and back again. I digress, if you’re looking for humorous insight into British politics that cuts slightly right of centre, then Geoff’s your man. Contrary to some,... more

The story about his mother parking in a disabled space summed him up, slates everybody but actually he's one
of the worst !
Geoff Norcott is such an antidote to ‘group think’, which is ironic given the title. So worth listening to.
WMPT hasn’t dissuaded me from my loony lefty ways, but it has definitely entertained me and broadened my perspective. I used to work in the comedy industry and saw Geoff perform dozens of times. He’s a consummate professional, a lovely bloke and genuinely hilarious.
