老車翻新在台灣不能的原因是因為國產車有車體編號搭配引擎編號，這個紀錄是一對一的紀錄，不知道監理所能不能改就是。以前可以保留車體把引擎換掉的，就以前進口的Honda accused或者喜美，因為進口車只有車體編號，這種才可以改引擎，同樣cc數，日本的馬力跟台版的就差很多..
另外，為何車子越來越大，是因為經濟不景氣下，對於車子的需求就越來越多，比如以前求載人就好，現在則要求要能載貨啦，座位空間要大啦，自然小車就越來越像fun car，或者台北不好停車才會考慮
