  • Great show and insightful topics

However I would definitely enjoy the episodes more if the guests would actually come into the studio for the interview instead of talking over the phone, because it’s often impossible to understand anything they say at all. And that’s the only reason for me to grant 3 out of 5 starts instead of all 5.

  • Daily?

Wharton Business Daily is the title, but lacking daily content. Is content being recorded and subsequently not posted? Seems like this podcast leans one direction politically so wondering if missed episodes are a result of unfavored opinions or discussions?

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Private Credit Risks and the Threat of Market Contagion
Q: So we are seeing defaults, we're seeing redemptions. What is behind all of this in the private credit market right now?
The shift stems from banks stepping back, pushing lending to private credit funds that are less liquid, and the combination of new liquidity structures with redemption features creates a situation where investors want their money out while assets remain illiquid, sparking a gradual run.
Understanding Congress’s Impact on Financial Markets
Q: What motivated you to study fiscal policy shocks rather than monetary policy shocks?
I wanted to apply a method I used at the Federal Reserve to fiscal policy, because I believe deficits and budget processes are powerful macro levers with lasting effects on financial markets, and understanding their real-time impact complements what we know about monetary policy.
The Science Behind Elite Athletic Performance
Q: How important is this brain science to understanding athletic performance today?
The science provides a framework where brain signals can be measured and linked to specific performance outcomes, enabling more scientific talent identification, training adjustments, and cross-sport applications.
How Artificial Intelligence Is Reshaping Business and Society
Q: Are we seeing businesses plan five years out for AI use, or is the landscape still too dynamic to project that far ahead?
Puntoni explains that both companies and consumers are adopting AI rapidly, with investments and costs rising, suggesting a near-term focus on implementation and experimentation, while longer-term planning is evolving as the technology and use cases mature.
AI Stocks, Oil Prices, and the Fed’s Next Move
Q: Give us your thoughts on Kevin Warsh taking over the role.
Siegel views Warsh as an excellent choice, noting his longstanding Fed tenure, strong institutional knowledge, and potential to influence the Fed's approach while staying grounded in history and current data.
