  • Michael Saylor

Thank you to Tom Ryan for shining a light on the world of bitcoin through the eyes of Michael Saylor. The dearth of information Tom draws from Saylor through in depth and pertinent questions was not only informative they were asked in a way that the uninformed and skeptics would have no choice but to take notice. Thank you again Tom for your in-depth interview with Mr Saylor. I will be recommending “Welcome to the arena” to all of my friends and colleagues

Mark Goldston, Executive Chairman, The Beachbody Company — Heavy Lift: A renowned turnaround executive reinvigorates one of the world's foremost fitness brands (Re-broadcast)
Q: What was the pivotal decision at Beachbody that altered the course of the company's fortunes?
Leaving the MLM structure behind and embracing a multi-channel retail strategy, supported by a tighter cost base and new products, has been central to moving from loss-making to cash-flow positive and pursuing sustained growth.
Mark Goldston, Executive Chairman, The Beachbody Company — Heavy Lift: A renowned turnaround executive reinvigorates one of the world's foremost fitness brands (Re-broadcast)
Q: What do you see as the core symptoms of a turnaround and how do you address them beyond quick fixes?
Symptoms signal deeper issues: misaligned operations, overhang in cost structures, and a lack of clear, actionable plans. The approach combines marketing strength with financial restructuring, letting you stabilize, then invest in growth with a disciplined, data-driven plan.
Mark Goldston, Executive Chairman, The Beachbody Company — Heavy Lift: A renowned turnaround executive reinvigorates one of the world's foremost fitness brands (Re-broadcast)
Q: So Mark, you've had this amazing career as a public company CEO, inventor, author. What happened in your formative years to get you interested in business?
Growing up with a father who was an early discount-retailing pioneer influenced my view that understanding both product creation and how it gets to the shopper is crucial. I pursued brand marketing, earned an MBA at Kellogg, and aimed to reach the top of consumer products, which set the foundation for later turnarounds.
Alex Faherty, CEO and Co-Founder, Faherty Brand — Coast to Curb: A family-owned clothing brand blends beach-comfort with urban-style (Re-broadcast)
Q: What has been the core philosophy guiding Faherty's growth over the last decade?
Lead with authenticity and product—we design for ourselves first, invest in sustainable fabrics, and leverage a wholesale-first strategy to create real-world brand presence, while building a modern omni-channel model that still feels personal.
Alex Faherty, CEO and Co-Founder, Faherty Brand — Coast to Curb: A family-owned clothing brand blends beach-comfort with urban-style (Re-broadcast)
Q: You co-founded Faherty in 2013. What did you guys see in the marketplace that made you say, 'we're going to do this'?
We wanted a brand that combined the quality of Polo and Bloomingdale's with a California-surf vibe, but with our own twist—stories, fabrics, and a product we actually want to wear every day. Banking and PE gave us a lens for building a durable, scalable business, and we believed in starting with wholesale to build credibility before chasing DTC scale.
