My family loves The Daily 5! My two junior high kids and I listen to it while driving to school every morning. We love how it starts with scripture and ends in prayer. The news snippets are informative, non bias, and give us topics to talk about after the show. I am not one to watch much news so I appreciate how the show keeps me informed. It’s a fabulous way to start our morning. We are grateful for The Daily 5!
I have avoided watching, reading, consuming any form of news for YEARS. The shock factor that people want to deliver in the news, hurts my heart and I’ve become numb to the regular level of terrible-ness in the world. The Wears have made the news tolerable, in a way that I can be an informed citizen of the world. I’m able to engage in politics in ways I never have before.
So so thankful for their quick updates on the week days and their longer one on the weekend. So so thankful!
I enjoy the show and I appreciate the faith based take on politics. My one complaint is that Michael tends to interrupt Melissa a lot. I find it condescending, although I don’t believe he intends it that way. Example: on the Nov 26 episode he asked her to talk about Latino voters and then promptly interrupted and finished the conversation in that area. Again, I appreciate the show overall.
Michael and Melissa offer a helpful, hope filled and experience based thoughts and conversation about current political and cultural sways. Their experience in the political realm, rooted in faith offer gracious commentary and helpful information navigating what the news is reporting and what is happening. Very grateful for the generous and thoughtful banter and insight.
