  • Refreshing and honest

Absolutely loved this episode. As a Muslim woman, it feels so refreshing and empowering to hear other Muslim women speak so thoughtfully about these topics. One part that really stayed with me was the reminder that when we do a favor for someone, we shouldn’t see it as a transaction. We’re simply the means, Allah placed it in our hearts to do that good. Expect your reward from Him, not from people. That mindset frees you from resentment, protects your relationships, and multiplies the reward. S... more

Boundaries for Mothers In Ramadan by Dr Tamara Gray
Q: How can mothers nurture their Ibadah during Ramadan without neglecting their children?
Plan Ramadan with intention: allocate time for Quran, prayer, and charity while setting healthy boundaries with children, such as dedicated worship spaces at home and age-appropriate activities to keep children engaged. Demonstrating worship through daily actions teaches children the value of spirituality and service.
Boundaries for Mothers In Ramadan by Dr Tamara Gray
Q: What do you say to women who feel guilty for wanting more than motherhood, like she's somehow less pious for having ambition?
The Islamic perspective rejects the idea that a woman's worth is defined solely by motherhood; it emphasizes balance, taqwa, and the duty to use one's talents to serve Allah and the community. Women are encouraged to pursue education, leadership, and other forms of worship, recognizing that family and personal development can coexist with broader contributions to the ummah.
