  • Appreciate this dude’s perspective and mindful content.

I have been seeking out podcasts here over YouTube to escape the depressing algorithm loops. This guy gives me faith that others are out there sharing things they are passionate about during a depressing time. All the while not being afraid of calling out tech/gaming services you have hesitancy with. Keep it up Brendon, your podcasts make for a better day.

  • Great listen

I listen to this and 2 of Brendon’s other podcasts (Into the Aether and NPC) and I love how real his podcasting persona is. He’s insightful, funny and smart and I find that I agree with his takes more often than not. I’ve discovered an entire video game franchise that I absolutely love thanks to listening to his podcasts (Trails in the Sky) so if you give him a listen and vibe with him even a little bit, who knows where he might take you. Entertaining, informative and genuinely a great listen.

  • A Hidden Gem

I started listening to this only very recently after having listened to Into the Aether for a year. It’s more like game-adjacent musings and stream of consciousness than a traditional podcast, but that’s what makes it unique. I think Brendon is very well spoken and I appreciate his insight about games and other topics that matter to him. I will continue to listen for as long as he keeps doing Wavelengths.

Every Gaming Device is Getting More Expensive
Q: Are you excited to hopefully see a glimpse at Generation X of Pokémon later this month?
I'm excited about Pokémon Day. Pokémon Day is end of February, beginning of March, and I am interested to see if they announce Generation X.
The January Question Dump
Q: What to you is enough playtime in a game you paid for?
I stopped playing a game when it's not fun anymore. It's like a feeling thing; you just know in that moment when you've nailed it.
The January Question Dump
Q: Is the new Steam controller appealing to you? Would you consider trying it out?
Yes, I want one really bad, especially now that I'm in this like PC world.
The January Question Dump
Q: How do you balance or how do you find the balance between digital and physical for all forms of media ownership?
I tend to lean towards digital for everything. And then physical is for things that really make an impact on me.
Borderlands 4 Performance Woes, Silksong Updates, and a 180 On Game Keycards
Q: Reflecting on Silksong, what are other examples of games where, if we're being honest, unreasonably astronomical expectations were actually met?
Two examples that come to mind. The first one is Elden Ring. The other one is Breath of the Wild.
