By far, my favourite film podcast. So much so that I do a Letterboxd list for the films they cover. Disturbing cinema is kind of my thing so it’s nice that there’s a podcast for it. I love Mary Beth and Dax’s low key but insightful energy in their discussions. The podcast feels very approachable while often covering unapproachable material. Also, some of the funniest off topic tangents happen on this podcast.
These two made me want to rewatch Watership Down…
I’m so glad I stumbled upon this podcast. I love disturbing films but it’s always a bit of a toss up trying discuss them with others, especially when half the people I know don’t know/haven’t seen the majority of these movies. Dax and Mary Beth deliver equal parts silly banter and in depth analysis of the themes and symbolism of these movies, which is exactly what I’m looking for in a film podcast.
I’ve seen most of these movies and I also have no one to talk about them with. I have a weird thing with seeking out disturbing movies as well, so I’m happy to have found this podcast. There are a few of these I haven't seen so I’m going to add them to my list. Yay!
An hour of mindless, incoherent blabber about anything but the advertised movie. Imagine the very worst of daytime reality TV and then remove any logic, plot or structure and what you’re left with is this podcast. Ain’t nobody got time for this.
