JD Webber does a great job in this one. He has a great voice!
This is my third book in the barsoom chronicles. I came about them by researching the John Carter film. These audiobooks are some of the best audio experiences I’ve ever had. A wild ride to say the least.
This is my third book in the barsoom chronicles. I came about them by researching the John Carter film. These audiobooks are some of the best audio experiences I’ve ever had. A wild ride to say the least. My only complaint is that there is usually an error when I try to play them and I have to wait hours till it finally plays. A woman reader?!!! Terrible voice...women should ONLY read books written by women.
The listener should hear the author’s words in the same gender as the writer. UNSUBSCRIBED as soon as the woman came on board...wonder how the story ended? Too bad.
The reader for the first 14 or so episodes was pretty good, but lacked a sound education...mispronouncing about 50 or so words...again and again (chasm, dais, succor, just to name a few!)

It was great to listen to the story, but the large number of mispronounced words took away from the experience. Reader should do his homework and not just guess at new words.
