I have listened to every single episode released. The teachings have been instrumental in my spiritual formation.
I won’t blab to much so as to not risk sounding like a PSA ad. I just want to state how much I love my community here. The podcast is useful even to me even though I attend in person. Whenever I can’t make it to a Sunday service I know I can always catch up the next week. Love the teaching and the challenges of each message. I hope you agree🫶🏼
Awesome
I’ve been listening to VanCity for about two years now and I always look forward to what’s next. Josh and all the other preachers bring a relatability and practicality that I don’t see in a lot of churches. I pray that VanCity would be a light to the community they occupy.
Josh might be my favourite preacher. He’s a Pop Culture Comer. Humour drier than the Sahara in drought. Probably not for everyone.

The content predominantly revolves around themes of suffering, faith, community, and the complexities of Christian discipleship. The discussions often integrate biblical narratives and teachings, notably from the book of Jonah, while probing deeper philosophical questions related to theodicy, sin, and grace. Noteworthy is the emphasis on real-life application of theological concepts, encouraging listeners to engage with their faith in meaningful and relatable ways. The combination of humor, cultural references, and serious inquiries into faith-related challenges sets this audio series apart, making it relevant to both lifelong adherents of Christianity and those exploring spiritual matters.
