Why do a pod on something you don’t like?
Does Doctor Who get better every week? No. But Natasha and Jaime do. This is a really enjoyable podcast for any Doctor Who fan with enough circumspection to realize the show has flaws, and whose experience is not diminished when those flaws are pointed out with humor and intelligence. I'll respect whatever decison the hosts make in terms of continuing through the rough seasons, but if it were up to me they'd stick with it.
Started Unspoiled with the Harry Potter series and was so excited to hear about Doctor Who. Doctor Who is my favorite show and I’m so excited to experience it all over again with someone new.
I started listening to Unspoiled in 2018, going back into the archives to follow the Harry Potter read through. Loved it, Roshawn and Natasha are delightful! The podcast app gave suggestions for loads of Unspoiled shows, and I searched for what was on the Unspoiled Network eagerly. It wasn’t until the end of 2020 that I realized Natasha was covering Dr. Who?!? I loved Dr. Who to a truly unhealthy level as a teenager, surely in this era of reconsuming old obsessions, this is the #1 podcast for me... more
This has been an interesting ride. I am not an og whovian from childhood but I sort of fell into watching it during uni and enjoyed it for what it was. Natasha has had thoughts eerily similar to mine when I first watched the show even though I was binging it and she watches it week to week. I appreciate her articulating what it was that made me like certain eras more or less and it’s very interesting to hear the show dissected in a constructive manner. more
