This episode comes from a live panel discussion about juvenile justice that followed the premiere of The Myth of the Super Predator.

So good and very much needed! The stories are told with intelligence and compassion, showing the humanity and complexity behind what is often reduced to news headlines and statistics. Deserves a wide audience.
Each story is unique, but intriguing. The episodes are short, which I like, and because they are short, the eps give you everything you need to know to get their point across. I'm now interested in the system in Louisiana & searching for more podcasts about this area. Hoping there will be a season 2!
This is a great podcast that shows how the American prison system systematically disadvantages a certain group of people. Very well done and worth a listen
Excellent podcast series that explores the impacts of mass incarceration from many angles while always incorporating the human element
This is a great project to shed light on the issues we face in the criminal justice system. I do not live in New Orleans but it's been an eye opener for me, a middle class white girl, to learn about the patterns of incarceration in that city. Keep up the great work and people of New Orleans, keep fighting for justice!
I've just discovered this podcast because of the great piece you did for Reveal. I'm thoroughly enjoying it in a kind of, isn't it scary that a justice system can work like that, way.
fantastic program that explores those affected by Louisiana being the nation's highest rate of incarceration. From families, to juveniles, to wrongfully convicted, Unprisoned follows a situation or individual for each podcast. Really an eye opener into the school to prison pipeline.
Unprisoned courageously attempts to unpack the multifaceted problems that too many in our community face. It seeks to find the human side of prisons and the criminal justice system. I can't wait to see what future seasons hold.
