  • Fan-flipping-tastic

A brilliant and easy to listen to podcast for film fans. I initially skipped a few interview episodes when not familiar with the guests themselves, but once I was eager for more content, I realised how great every single episode is. It doesn’t matter if you know the guests themselves, just listening to the interviews can prompt you to re-examine films you may have previously loved, hated, or never even heard of

Having exhausted and caught up with all my favourites, including Kermode & Mayo's Take, Empire, Film Stories, You Must Remember this and more, I was running out of options...until I stumbled on these boys. What a back catalogue! My earpods are now set for the foreseable. Cheers guys! 📽

  • Great Podcast

A great podcast, looking at guests Best, Worse and Dream sequels in movies. Also I enjoy the box set mentality series as they talk about a movie series, film by film.

Joz Norris

Unequal Sequel 100: Our Best, Worst & Dream Sequels (with Jack Chambers)
Q: What is Dave's dream sequel?
Dave envisions a Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy sequel that preserves Douglas Adams's involvement and embraces the book's quirky humor, while balancing faithful adaptation with cinematic ambition.
Danny Ward
Q: What is your dream sequel?
The Holiday 2, envisioned as a Christmas rom-com era finale that could be darker, more character-driven, and set against a shifted tone—perhaps exploring the consequences of success and domestic upheaval 20 years later.
Danny Ward
Q: What is your worst ever sequel?
Robocop 3, described as a soulless, toy-driven mess with a PG-13 shift, weak satire, and undermined heart from the original, making it a quintessential bad sequel in his view.
Danny Ward
Q: What is your best ever sequel?
Danny chose Return to Oz, arguing it is terrifying, adventurous, and a fascinating genre shift that stays true to source material while delivering a memorable, provocatively spooky experience.
