Good storytelling but it sounds as if producers don’t have much experience with audio editing. Some recorded audio material harvested from the time of each crime is often impossible to hear. Most audio editors these days can be used to filter out white noise and to clarify certain frequencies so that voices in the tapes can be heard. I’m not usually one to be troubled by people’s voices in true crime podcasts, but one of these two women speaks loudly and insensitively about really tender issues. Borderline sarcastic. It seems to make light of deeply painful events. I’ve listened to all of the episodes, and I find there’s a very strange presentation overall.
