Boston sports newscasts along with the Globe were the anchor of my life. I have kept up since moving away in 2009 (I remain a Globe subscriber) but am embarrassed to say I thought Lobel was no longer alive. Thanks to all this really brings me home to Lynchie (a fellow Harvard alum) and the inimitable and irreplaceable Lobie.

It is good to occasionally hear from Bob and Mike, the main sportscasters of my youth. I live away from the Boston area now, and hearing these two chat about the goings on in Boston sports is a good way for me to keep up to date. Always have interesting local sports personalities on for a chat, including some of the older ones from their era that are either retired or who have been around for a long time.
