Even though I share the p.o.v of DSR Daily I believe that David Rothkopf is detrimental to its message. He strikes me as smarmy and often patronizing to his co-hosts—whom he treats as sidekicks. I much prefer the Daily Blast episodes hosted by Greg Sargent.
Expat living in New Zealand here; I listen to you guys first thing every morning. Love you all; the banter between Minna and Reilly is great!!!!
Really like this podcast for my daily news, the new host Minnah is very welcome addition to the show. Great stuff
Liked much better when it was a daily news bulletin without the unnecessary Rothkopf opinions and monitoring - I get that from other podcasts, so it isnt that i don't appreciate his pov, but why not leave this format alone?
I first found DSR after the Ukraine invasion. And I didn’t expect it to be such a great news aggregator, thinking it was limited in focus. But I was wrong. It’s broadly focused. And does an excellent job of gathering and disseminating daily summaries that are professional and informative.
If I were forced to give up other news sources keeping this single show would be my choice.
Highly recommended.

The daily briefing channels international news and national security developments through concise, speaker-led rundowns and discussion among three regular hosts. Episodes mix sharper policy analysis with banter, frequently weighing U.S. foreign policy, geopolitical flashpoints, and media coverage against credible sources from around the world. A recurring through-line is accountability in governance and skepticism toward political leadership, often punctuated by timely guests and cross-promotion for related shows and subscriptions. The format tends to be fast-paced, opinionated, and information-forward, making it a go-to for listeners who want quick but context-rich updates with perspective from experienced policy commentators.
