  • I will turn you off

The second your guest start asking, right? In the middle of every sentence, I turn you off.

  • DSR (not DSA) Network

I listen to every episode. Great reporting and guests. Suggest that Greg use the full “Deep State Radio” name rather than DSR network. It’s too close to the democratic socialist acronym DSA which is increasingly in the news. Avoid conflating these two, please.

  • Editing

Love the podcast which helps to keep me grounded. Only complaint is editing on June 26 show. Many abrupt cuts and repeated lines.

  • How about you and your guests stop asking each other right? In the middle of every sentence?

So, Greg has fallen into the trap, right? He’s now asking “right”in the middle of every sentence, right? This is what podcasters do, right?

  • Stay Aware

Of course DJT doesn’t care about midterms.

Remember when he told his followers they would never have to vote again, it would be all fixed.

    Well, there you go.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Best of the Daily Blast: Trump Secret Plane Swap Suddenly Looks Darker as Damning New Leaks Hit
Q: What does the guest see as the core failure in how the press handled the decoy operation?
The guest argues that the press was retrofitting its coverage to a narrative of deference to the presidency, failing to push back or inform the public adequately, and that leaders at major outlets must demand more rigorous scrutiny and accountability in headlines and coverage.
Trump Accidentally Wrecks GOP Midterm Message in Dumbest Self-Own Ever
Q: Your thoughts about all that?
Jennifer Rubin argues that Trump's messaging is inconsistent with the broader Republican midterm strategy, risks energizing the opposition, and highlights the importance of credible, strong candidates to mobilize voters—while noting Democrats currently benefit from higher enthusiasm and better candidate quality.
Krugman: Trump Just Revealed Extraordinary Contempt for MAGA Voters
Q: can you explain what Trump thinks he's saying here?
Krugman points out that the statements about meeting a price commitment and the beef-import plan are incoherent and unconvincing, and he emphasizes that there is no clear mechanism by which consumers would benefit, suggesting the rhetoric masks a lack of a sound policy.
Trump Hits Brutal New Polling Low as Dems Win Stunner in MAGA Country
Q: What does the polling data imply about turnout and the Republicans' vulnerability without Trump on the ballot?
The data suggests that Trump's absence could depress Republican turnout due to the loss of his core voters, potentially widening the gap in favor of Democrats in key races, especially in red-leaning states where down-ticket Republicans may underperform without his coattail effect.
Trump Hits Brutal New Polling Low as Dems Win Stunner in MAGA Country
Q: Michael, your thoughts on that?
Cohen notes that the Pennsylvania district shift mirrors broader Democratic overperformance in specials, and he emphasizes the importance of the GOP's perceived extremism and the evolving electorate, particularly among highly educated midterm voters, as signals that the midterms could tilt in Democrats' favor if these trends persist.
