  • Old Ken was better

The original Ken was definitely better. One story with depth. Now it is like any other publication where most stories are very superficial reporting. May be it’s a way to increase readership.

  • Insightful

Amazing content and some great topics being picked up. Continue your good work. One minor suggestion would be to pick guests who sound differently (voice) as it becomes tough to map who says what while listening. Maybe a single guest would also work well, not meant to tinker with your format.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

What a global investor really thinks about India's next decade
Q: What narratives do you see as the top drivers for India over the next decade?
Key narratives include the shift from traditional FMCG and B2C competition to brands and export-oriented growth, accelerating manufacturing, expansion of Bharat (tier 2/3 markets), and the evolution of supply chains through domestic CAPEX and labor arbitrage. AI and tech-enabled productivity, along with improved governance and private sector risk-taking, are expected to unlock substantial mid-cap opportunities.
What a global investor really thinks about India's next decade
Q: What is your investment timeline when Lazard puts capital to work in emerging markets like India?
We operate with a long-term, perpetual mindset, focusing on durable fundamentals and the growth trajectory of individual companies rather than chasing short-term market cycles. The emphasis is on identifying compounders with moats and sustainable demand, while remaining mindful of mispricing opportunities in sectors like IT services and financials.
With Noice, Swiggy picks the 3rd path in quick commerce
Q: Can Swiggy's Noice succeed as a brand?
If Swiggy dedicates time and resources to brand development, avoiding hastiness in scaling, it has potential.
With Noice, Swiggy picks the 3rd path in quick commerce
Q: What is the difference between a private label and a brand?
A private label is typically a distribution structure focusing on cost, whereas a brand involves a more nuanced memory structure that builds over time.
How can restaurants scale sustainably?
Q: What advice would you give to someone looking to make their restaurant last 100 years?
Culture is essential, as well as having systems in place that enable that culture to thrive.
