New to this and I can’t bear it the off putting background music like it’s being recorded in someone’s bedroom and the room next door is playing music, so poorly put together.
Only 2 episodes in but can’t listen anymore because of the background music, it’s not loud but loud enough to be extremely distracting!
If you love Twin Peaks or are starting to watch it now, this is a great companion.
I have been waiting since the moment I finished twin peaks for someone to admit that Bob and might have had a hand in what Josie did. you see Bob and the arm on the bed after Josie "passes" It's insane to think people wouldn't jump to the conclusion that Bob was inhabiting her influencing her. the line what happened to Josie seems very condescending. like Bob knew what happened to Josie but almost challenging Cooper to figure it out
❤️
Fantastic pod, great companion to my first watch of twin peaks, essential listening, here’s hoping we get more lost content
Worth powering through for the insider info, but… does not age well. Lots of unrepentant use of the word “midget” and the phrase “autistic, or you know… mental” is used. Please do research on terms you want to use or just don’t use them. Use words you know. Thank you.
Also they call Catherine Cathleen like sixty times in two minutes, and they spend five minutes wondering whether Ronnette PULASKI was named after Roman POLANSKI. I… I can’t…
Absolutely fell in love with this podcast. I’m along time Lynch fan and original Twin Peaks fan but have learned so much from Ben, Bryon and guests that I never want it to end. My ride to and from work is so enjoyable. I feel like I’ve joined one big happy family that is both wonderful and strange. And now I’ve just received the Twin peaks Unwrapped book on Twin Peaks day and can’t wait to dive in and revisit all the great interviews. Thanks guys.
When everyone has moved on and I’m still standing here trying to figure out what just happened. Thanks so much for caring. For your intelligence and your company. Love you guys.❤️ Love your book!
An excellent accompaniment to a lockdown Twin Peaks rewatch. Im even enjoying the 2nd half of season 2 because of these guys! Highly recommended
This book is an essential read for Twin Peaks fans. I consider it one of the Big Four Twin Peaks books - taking its rightful place alongside John Thorne's "The Essential Wrapped In Plastic: Pathways to Twin Peaks", Brad Dukes' "Reflections: An Oral History of Twin Peaks" and David Bushman's "Conversations with Mark Frost".The book goes chronologically episode by episode through all three seasons of Twin Peaks, and the film (Fire Walk with Me). For each episode, there are some oral history style ... more
I’ve been a long time fan of this podcast. The latest episode with some of the people involved with Larisa Ghost: Women Speak About Twin Peaks was phenomenal! Absolutely amazing! Thank you for giving these extraordinary women and this important piece of work a platform to speak more about it. I also really enjoyed the moving accounts from the hosts in this episode.
Both hosts clearly love Twin Peaks. One is a veteran and the other is watching for the first time, and they’re both very excited about unravelling the mystery. The best thing about this show is when the hosts bring up interesting research and tidbits that relate to the making of the show and extra things (books, other tropes, etc). Stuff I have never heard on other podcasts about Twin Peaks.
However, there are some serious glaring issues that come up every single episode. The biggest problem I ... more
I watched TP when it first came out 30 years ago but coming to this very late and now listening to the early episodes from 5 years ago! Really enjoying it though - just reached the part where Ben finds out the killer. Love the reaction!
Looking forward to hearing what everyone makes of Season 3 when I get that far ahead.
Highly recommended. Great interviews, good discussion on the episodes and I’m learning new things every time I listen.
These guys are funny, knowledgable and passionate about Twin Peaks! Listen from the beginning if you love TP, it’s worth it. And get their awesome book!
