  • Love this show!

It’s probably the best Twin Peaks podcast. However, you guys called Stephen’s car dumb in the episode on the Return, Part 5! Hard disagree! It’s way cooler than Leo’s corvette.

  • Great show but…

but I beg the hosts to just let their disagreements go and move on to another topic after the 3rd or 4th back and forth.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Artists on Lynch 1: Writer/Filmmaker Marks on Lynch's influence and her films
Q: Can you explain your process for deciding when a documentary has enough material to finish for PBS versus expanding it for YouTube or other platforms?
The decision is driven by storytelling clarity and audience fit; sometimes things that don't fit the PBS version can be explored in extended cuts or companion pieces, and we've planned to release additional material as we secure distribution.
Artists on Lynch 1: Writer/Filmmaker Marks on Lynch's influence and her films
Q: What role did John Waters play in your Dolls & Murder project, and how did you approach his narration?
John Waters's narration felt fitting given his Baltimore roots and his artistic kinship with Lynch; we approached him as a collaborator, arranged an early Baltimore recording, and later paired that with a broader interview to enrich the documentary's texture.
Artists on Lynch 1: Writer/Filmmaker Marks on Lynch's influence and her films
Q: How did you first connect with Michael Horse, and what led you to profile him for a second project?
I encountered him in a grocery store, admired his work beyond Twin Peaks, and after talking with him and realizing the potential depth of his artistic life, I pursued another documentary focused on his broader artistry and collaboration opportunities.
Vera Drew interview on making art, David Lynch, The People's Joker, and more
Q: How did Lynch influence your work, and how do you reconcile his ambiguity with your own storytelling?
She explains Lynch's intuition-driven process, the value of surrender in art, and how Lynch's willingness to embrace the unexpected informs her own approach to collaboration and genre-blending.
Vera Drew interview on making art, David Lynch, The People's Joker, and more
Q: Was film always going to be the path, or did Vera come to it from other art forms?
Vera describes wanting to be a filmmaker from a very young age, often borrowing cameras and making short films with family and cousins, shaping a multi-hyphenate approach that blends art, improv, and collaboration.
