第２回の収録では、ナビゲーターの岡本と佐古田さんの出会いのきっかけとなった京都・上賀茂における設計プロジェクト（詳細はEp.37）の前段階で岡本自身が執筆した論文「Coexiting with Ancestors」を紐解くところから話を進めます。
今回のゲストは、佐古田晃朗（さこだてるあき）さんです。
建築設計を専門とする佐古田さんが、設計や計画の魅力や豊かさを感じながらも、何か目を向け直すべきものがあるのではないかと感じた、"アクチュアルな経験"についてお話をうかがいました。建築だけではなく様々な人工物に関わる設計者にとって共感できることの多いエピソードだと思います。

大島さんがこれまでのインタビューの中でもあまり語られてこなかった、幼少期のお話を伺いました。大島さんの「ものづくりへの意志」はどのように形成されたのか？キーワードは３つの「チ」（知・血・地）でした。「お前のやりやすい場所で、いつかこの土地に影響があるくらいまで頑張れ」というご家族からの激励は、この広い世界は繋がっているということや、土地というものの本質を考える機会となる非常に奥深い言葉でした。
