  • Programming takes a dive

Please bring back In The Box from 10am-2pm. It was such great radio, especially on Sens game days at practice! Mornings can’t get into gameday coverage the same way In The Box could. You’re the Senators radio network. Get back to operating like it, please.

Bell media you’re a joke of an organization for sacking a lot of beloved talent from tsn1200 over the years. You should all be ashamed at being so greedy.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

TSN Mornings: Johnson says the Sens lack of finish is just as concerning as their lack of saves
Q: Beyond straight shots, what other metrics or angles would you use to flesh out Ottawa's finishing issues and determine if it's a systemic problem or just bad luck?
We'd look at high-danger chances, conversion rates in those chances, and compare to league norms to assess whether the team is generating quality looks but failing to finish at an expected rate.
TSN Mornings: Johnson says the Sens lack of finish is just as concerning as their lack of saves
Q: Is there an underlying number that you track or that you look into, maybe something like scoring efficiency, that would help explain the missing goals in tie situations or close games?
Yes, there are underlying metrics like scoring efficiency that try to measure how many high-quality chances are converted; it involves the balance between volume, possession, and actual finishing of high-danger opportunities.
TSN Mornings: Bob Weeks says it will be an interesting next few years for the PGA Tour
Q: How might these changes affect Canadian players and major events like the Canadian Open?
There is concern that some players might lose path-to-tour access, but sponsors like RBC remain influential, and Canadian Open spots tied to national amateur winners could be reshaped; the overall expectation is that better-defined pathways and a stable field will emerge, though some adjustments will be necessary.
TSN Mornings: Bob Weeks says it will be an interesting next few years for the PGA Tour
Q: What are the most notable changes the new PGA Tour leadership is considering?
The new leadership is exploring a restructuring that could include a relegation-like system, match play in final events, tournaments in major cities, a simplified exemption process, and potential greater control or ownership of broadcast, all aimed at improving fan clarity and aligning with the upcoming TV contracts.
TSN Mornings Mar. 12, 2026 Hour 4: The state of the PGA Tour and another loss Sens fans have seen before
Q: What are your first impressions of Brian Rollap as the new PGA Tour leader?
He's a business-minded outsider who understands the business of sport, and his early openness about not having all answers suggests a practical, collaborative approach to reform, even as LIV and broadcast dynamics loom.
