  • Simmer’s back!

Was so happy to hear of the launch of this podcast and chose the Ian and LeeVer episode to start. Love Simmer’s broadcasting style and hearing the three of you was like putting on your favourite sweater and sitting in front of the fireplace. Hope the trio will be a semi regular event.

Sens Spotlight #114 - The Key To Winning This Series For The Sens Will Be…
Q: How do you see the goaltending battle affecting the series between Ottawa and Carolina?
Goaltending could define the series; if Ottawa can get solid, even if not spectacular, goaltending from their starter and limit high-danger chances, they become the tougher matchup for Carolina, which relies on relentless pressure and sustained zone time. The key is steady play and timely saves rather than a single dominant performance.

Q: From a goaltending perspective, how does mental health and workload affect performance?
The guest explains that goaltending is heavily mental, with rest, preparation, and workload management being crucial for keeping a goalie sharp and confident, especially when facing back-to-back games.

Q: What impact has the outside noise and podcast culture had on players and coaching decisions?
The guest discusses how players face new pressures from social media and public perception, the need for coaches to manage expectations, and the importance of focusing on what the team can control rather than external noise.
