  • Simmer’s back!

Was so happy to hear of the launch of this podcast and chose the Ian and LeeVer episode to start. Love Simmer’s broadcasting style and hearing the three of you was like putting on your favourite sweater and sitting in front of the fireplace. Hope the trio will be a semi regular event.

Sens Spotlight #155 - Sens Mailbag! What To Do With Drake Batherson?
Q: Who do you think will lead the Senators in goals this upcoming season?
Tim Stutzle is the most likely to lead or be near the top in goals, given his all-around game and scoring consistency.
Sens Spotlight #155 - Sens Mailbag! What To Do With Drake Batherson?
Q: What do you think the organization needs to do to attract and retain talent and perform well in free agency?
Win consistently to establish value, maintain cap flexibility, and keep a core of young players developing; signing Batherson and Zub to long-term deals is pivotal to sustaining competitiveness while navigating the cap.
Sens Spotlight #155 - Sens Mailbag! What To Do With Drake Batherson?
Q: What is your ideal five-year plan for the right side of the defense?
The plan should center around Jakub Chytil Spence (Czubek) and Nick Spence on the right, with Zub and Sanderson as core veterans and room to grow with Yakimchuk on sheltered minutes, keeping a balance of size, skating, and defensive reliability.
Sens Spotlight #155 - Sens Mailbag! What To Do With Drake Batherson?
Q: Do you think Shane Pinto should be elevated to the top six, and should he get PP1 minutes?
Yes, Pinto should be elevated to the top six, and he should be considered for PP1 minutes as part of a broader push to maximize his offensive impact.
Sens Spotlight #154 - THIS Is Why Jake Sanderson Should Be The Next Sens Captain!
Q: What is the most appropriate method to decide the captain in this era, and should players have a vote?
The hosts suggest that a formal process involving coaching, management, and ownership should decide the captain, as a vote among players can introduce conflicts of interest and multiple agendas.
