I enjoy this podcast very much. I was a builder at one time. I built all of the Independence Cherubini’s with the Cherubini family. I especially loved the conversation you had with Tony Fleming. It reminded me of some of the stories I was told back when Frit Cherubini started. Keep up the good work. I will be listening and subscribing to the magazine. Joe McDonough

Q: How did Carbon Cat tenders come into the product lineup, and what was the development process?
Graf describes observing owners using inflatables that leaked and wetted boats, then moving to a purpose-built dry, stable carbon fiber tender with a hull that can be carried under gunnels, designed through iterative brainstorming, CAD, and weight/balance testing to achieve a lighter yet robust dinghy alternative.

Q: What was the decision to pick one hull, port or starboard for the thinner hull?
The designer explains it could be done either way in early stages, but the final configuration emerged from prototyping and production considerations, with the port hull being thinner to optimize drag and balance on certain layouts, a choice that proved effective across multiple models.
