I love that this show focuses on music as a form for healing. After listening to the first episode, I’m concerned about the framing that Teddy may have fallen back into drug use solely because of the “disease of addiction.” I think that’s a dangerous viewpoint that puts all of the onus on the individual, when individuals returning from incarceration face so many structural barriers that impede recovery.
How and when can I buy this project?? And I hope that some of my money will go towards helping these talented artists get some help on the inside and some help when they get on the outside???!!!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻✌🏻&❤️
I am glad to know this exists in the world. I know that this took a long time to produce. Giving opportunities to people who are in the most difficult of situations is not an easy task to do. Kudos and congrats to the team for getting this out!
I helped make this show. It was an honor to share space with these men, be in direct contact with them, and work with the music they've created. I learned about the reality of incarceration in ways no other podcast has ever shown me, and I’m grateful for the privilege to listen.
First of all so much talent here and can’t wait for the next episode. Great work! I work with incarcerated folks and the system is not set up for rehabilitation.. it’s designed for recitivism… just like addiction, you often go back.
Great podcast! But my heart hurts for these artists but I’m cheerleading on the sidelines!
The music is incredible. I love that we’re hearing stories about mental health, incarceration, substance use disorder… I’m engrossed in the story but also feel like I’m learning a lot at the same time
I teared up three times while listening to the first episode of this show. Such a powerful and inspirational program. I’m so glad it exists and I appreciate getting a window into this world. I can’t wait for more.
You’re gonna want to tune in… these stories.. and the music… are like nothing else.
