今回は「視野」についてのお話です。
#8でお話しした、
『テニスは目でやるな、音でやれ』
という話をしました。
ただ、それは決して
「ボールを見るな」
という意味ではありません。
ボールだけを凝視するのではなく、
コート全体をぼんやり見る。
相手を見る。
パートナーの存在を感じる。
そんな視野の使い方ができるようになると、
タイミングやポジショニングが自然と合いやすくなります。

関西オープンを終えて、そのまま帰ってきて収録しています。
おかげさまで優勝することができました！
ただ、実は4試合ともずっと気持ち悪かったんです。
サーブもフォアハンドも感覚は良い。
でも、なぜかうまくハマらない。
今回の大会を通して改めて感じたのは、
「やりたいこと」と
「やらなきゃいけないこと」
は違うということ。
試合直後だからこそ話せるリアルな気づきを、そのままお話ししています。

・スライスを使うと自爆してしまう…
・試合になると真ん中に当たらない…
・メンタルがブレる…
・前に出たいのに出られない…
などなど、“あるある”な悩みをテーマに、今の自分なりの考えをお話しています。
練習通りにいかないのが試合。
だからこそ、“ダメな自分も含めて今の実力”として受け入れることが、実はすごく大事なんじゃないかなと思っています。
