  • Unsubscribing because of rightward shift

I’ve been a listener since 2020. Echoing other reviews that Tammy and Andy were necessary counterbalances to Jay’s libertarian/reactionary tendencies. Current podcast is just warmed over reactionary takes to the news of the week mixed with recounting stale social media discourse. Can’t continue to support, unfortunately.

  • Difficult at times

If you’re interested in hearing from a self-identified leftist who regularly makes excuses for ICE wearing masks during arrests (this host’s cousin is a cop, or something) and who seems to really love Taylor Sheridan franchises, this podcast’s recent episodes are going to delight you. Jay remains excellent, but I don’t listen often these days because of Tyler.

  • I listen to it!

It almost always comes out as I’m leaving work on Wednesdays, becoming my commute pod. They have great conversations with guests, but I really love the Jay/Tyler episodes. So yeah, it’s really good, you’ll be entertained for an hour and probably end up buying a book afterwards. Why are you reading a review of a podcast? Just hit play.

  • Funny n smart with heart

I like the blend of high and low culture and humor in this show. I could do without the sports but I guess that aspect caters to a certain demographic that’s valuable? Idk. At the same time, sports seem to be important to most people so in a way I’m glad to get exposure to it through this vehicle. It’s medicine, at least in terms of sports.

Sports are not even a big part of this pod, I’m just leading with a criticism because I read a few other reviews that were critical so I’m in that frame of... more
