Good information, engaging hosts and guests. But in the last couple of months I’ve noticed several shows that have some or all segments recycled from previous episodes. That’s fine but the newer episodes need to be labeled as “repeat” or “encore” or something. Very disappointing.
Love this show & I am not even a proficient home repair enthusiast, but I gain a bit of knowledge listening to it. Especially love the “My Old House”, real estate & tip of the week segments. Just a great show!
Love this reminds me of the house version of Car Talk
Absolutely love the section of folks talking of their house
Thank you This Old House
I recently discovered the This Old House Radio Hour podcast and thought it might be worth a listen. The current episode included a DIY tip for fixing gaps that develop in floating plank flooring. Brilliant! No more gaps and I didn’t have to spend $$$ on a pro. Interesting is great, helpful is fabulous!
Kudos to This Old House for making this shift into a new media. It’s also refreshing to hear the new voices on the show take the lead. I love the mixture of building science information from Ross and remodeling dad jokes from Zack. Great start and heres to decades more success making our homeownership better.

A practical, problem-solving show focused on home improvement, remodeling, and maintenance. Episodes blend listener Q&A with hands-on guidance on plumbing, electrical, insulation, window and door fixes, HVAC upkeep, flooring, and finishing touches, often pairing step-by-step fixes with longer-form segments on historic homes, architecture, and building science. A recurring strength is bringing in trades pros, writers, and media personalities to share real-world experience, from DIY approaches to when to hire skilled contractors, all while weaving in personal home stories that illustrate broader design and renovation themes. Noteworthy angles include building science explained for homeowners, energy efficiency through plug-and-play solar and ... more
