I’ve listened to the first 3 relationships and wow. I feel so privileged and grateful that people have been so brave to let us be apart of their journey. The negative comments are interesting…. I think what people don’t understand is that most relationships come to therapy because the rupture has been so bad it’s gotten to an unmanageable and unhealthy state and that’s why what you hear can be shocking. But being able to hear in realtime people letting us in on their healing has been incredible.... more

Kate and Dean - the therapist has failed to identify that Dean is coercive and abusive towards Kate. Their difficulties are conceptualised as a result of communication problems, when in fact Dean has a narcissistic personality structure and has an underlying agenda in gaslighting Kate and making her feel insecure. Dean completely lacks empathy and clearly lies to Kate.

A privilege to listen to real people share their vulnerability, pain and hope. I found parts of my fight style in lots of these people and hearing how to think about changing that behavior prompted a lot of reflection. At times challenging to listen to, the judge in me wanted people I don’t know to be held to account more for their appalling behavior but that also had me reflecting on myself. Who does that serve? The way the host artfully walks the line of keeping people engaged with the process... more

  • Very interesting podcast!

So interesting to sit in on these sessions!

The episode with Kate & Dean is very hard to listen to!

Dean is obviously an abusive partner & has clearly broken that poor woman.

I hope Kate has left him & is safe!
