  • Sound quality of guests not always up to scratch but enjoyable pod when you can hear it

Love the show but disappointed with Carl Hendrick’s sound quality. Enjoy all the nerdy content that Adam and Amy bring us each week :)

  • Disappointing

I came to this after hearing some excellent interviews of Adam Boxer on other shows. Have skipped around thru several eps but cannot listen anymore. By Episode 41 the sound quality has not improved at all, they talk on top of music so that you can’t hear what they say, parts keep skipping and they just waffle on. They need to invest in some better microphones and actually listen to what they are putting out as a final product.

  • Listen on your way to school

It is great to hear educators talking shop and not holding back. Sometimes the episodes may need the “E” but there are not many teachers I know that don’t swear. A fun and helpful educational podcasters for teachers and educators across the globe. Go on - give it a listen.

She highlights data and technology, safeguarding becoming central, changes to curricula and assessment, increased accountability, and a broader, more professional culture among teachers.
What is school culture? With Ruth Ashbee
Q: What is culture and how does it shape schools?
Culture is how it feels to work somewhere, coupled with the actual behaviors and routines people engage in; it influences motivation, communication, and how policies are translated into daily practice.
How do I get buy in for change? Question Time!
Q: What is your practical process for observing and feedback to avoid alienating teachers while improving practice?
Provide specific, evidence-based feedback tied to concrete classroom actions, discuss decision-making openly, and help teachers connect feedback to student outcomes, while ensuring support and collaboration rather than judgment.
How do I get buy in for change? Question Time!
Q: How do you build buy-in, given that teachers often seem already acclimated to not being bought in?
By assuming there is some baseline buy-in and focusing on sustaining high-quality content, offering autonomy, and creating space for professional discourse and collaborative decision-making; any change should be debated, refined, and aligned with classroom realities.
Should we invite parents into lessons? Question time!
Q: Is there value in inviting parents into lessons?
Yes, there can be value when done for the right reasons and with careful planning to avoid undermining classroom routines; the hosts acknowledge it can illuminate what a healthy learning environment looks like and help align parental expectations with real practice.
