This series is so needed, uplifting, and empowering! And it is also exceptionally well hosted!!! It provides invaluable knowledge about therapy dogs, their handlers, how to get certified to become a therapy dog team, and so much more! At the time when the world deals more than ever with stress, anxiety, and other serious issues, therapy dogs provide amazing comfort and peace, and help children learn. This series covers it all and helps change the world for better!
The therapy dog community is very diverse. Sherrie has some very interesting guests. Looking forward to more episodes. more
I love how Sherri has found a way to bring therapy teams together across the country! Because of this podcast, I got to meet some of the teams while they flew into Phoenix (my dog is a therapy dog at the airport ) and it’s so happy and positive. Definitely a great listen for future therapy teams and current ones.
I find this topic interesting and might want to personally pursue it, but often the podcast volume goes up and down constantly during the interviews. It also seems like this is a sound recording of a show that people are watching. Many times, it sounds like the host and the guest aren’t really even facing their microphones. Other times words cut out entirely.
As someone who’s part of a therapy dog team (with my dog Lucy) I love hearing about other people and their volunteer experience. I learn a lot from Sherrie and her guests, too. Someone mentioned that their dog hated the scent of hand sanitizer and that made me realize why Lucy didn’t like some people on one of our recent visits. Thanks for the show Sherrie!
