  • United Podcast Worth Listening To

There are very few Man Utd podcasts listening to but ‘Theatre Of Red’ is certainly one of them. I look forward every week to a new show dropping and whether Sean is on his own or talking to a guest of the calibre of David May or Henry Winter it is always a great listen. Highly recommended imho.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

96: Old Trafford embraces Carrick's Man United
Q: Do you think his time is a success? And where do you see us looking for his replacement?
The host acknowledges the complexity of replacement decisions and supports Carrick, emphasizing the need to back the team while evaluating options, with a nuanced view on whether Carrick can continue to lead the squad.
93: Carrick and Casemiro combine again
Q: How do you view Ahmad's development trajectory and the club's long-term plan for his role in the first team?
The guests acknowledge Ahmad's growing pains but stress his potential to become a dynamic part of the attack if he maintains form and confidence, supported by a clear path and trust from management and teammates.
93: Carrick and Casemiro combine again
Q: Given the initial 13-game run under Carrick, would you appoint him as next season's manager, or prefer someone with a longer CV at the helm?
The hosts express a cautious optimism about Carrick, arguing his recent results and attacking intent justify considering him for the job, but they would likely wait until the season ends to assess longer-term consistency and recruitment fit before making a final decision.
88: Theatre of Red | Episode 88 | Europe calling for Carrick's Reds
Q: Is there any update or movement on our summer business in midfield? It looks like Anderson is going to City. So where does that leave us in your opinion?
The host suggests United remain committed to proactive planning, keeping options open with Beleba, Wharton, Tanali, and other targets, while weighing the cost and fit within the squad, with Baleba viewed as a primary target and others as alternatives.
87: Theatre of Red | Episode 87 | Time for the United response
Q: What would you like to see in the immediate future regarding manager selection and coaching structure?
The hosts discuss a call for a thoughtful, multi-person search process with input from different candidates and a plan that won't hinge on a single appointment, aiming for a sustainable long-term setup.
