Reviews

4.5 out of 5 stars from 1.6k ratings
  • No substance

Was excited to find this podcast as the subject matter really interests me , but the episodes are a half very surface level general unscripted musing on the topic with no reference to any evidence on the claims and no practical advice, and then half ads. For example a recent episode on trauma could be boiled down to: resolve your trauma. No other insight beyond that. Seems like the host is just phoning it in at this point to cash a paycheck on the ads.

  • A wannabe influencer paying for fake ratings

Kevin has struggled to not be as popular as he wants so he has started buying fake ratings. Notice over 1000 ratings but only a handful of actual reviews. Kevin you were a good interviewer but now you are ruining your reputation.

When Positivity Is Not A Help w/ Marriage & Family Therapist Whitney Goodman
Q: So how do we adjust our expectations?
We have to expect things to go pretty well, but we're also prepared for if they don't, and that we identify what we're able to control in our day-to-day life.
When Positivity Is Not A Help w/ Marriage & Family Therapist Whitney Goodman
Q: What is the primer or kind of a first rung issue that we miss? How do we harm ourselves, hurt our progress, our wellness?
The first thing that happens when we jump straight to positivity is it feels very dismissive and prevents us from thinking of any solutions or problem-solving.
Discover The Work Activities You Will Be Most Fulfilled In & Drained From w/ Biz Management Expert Patrick Lencioni
Q: Why do people experience burnout?
Burnout often comes from working at tasks that don't inspire you, not necessarily from working too much.
Questioning Time Management & How We Perceive & Value Time w/ Inspirational Entrepreneur Richie Norton
Q: What was it that tipped you into this book?
I realized that people wanted to live a life of value but often sacrificed what they loved for success.
How Can You Identify With Yourself & Your Life Aside From Your Work w/ Jillian Johnsrud
Q: Is it a primary topic as you share this that you find yourself dealing with people?
100 percent. And it's one of the reasons I like mini-retirements versus maybe full retirement or early retirement is that work is a really useful container.
