  • Great guests, hosts leave a lot to be desired

Gosh I was so excited about this podcast. We need something like this for the small sheep dairy world. First episode I listened to was Acorn and Fern and I was hooked! I immediately started to binge old episodes and quickly realized that the new host (Liv) is a great interviewer who lets the guests talk and keeps politics out of the conversation, and the original host (Rachel) just can’t seem to stay in the host seat! She’s so self-referential it’s draining, and the “bunny trails” are insufferab... more

Sheep vs Cow Milk
Q: You mentioned you have two designated cheese making days each week. How do you optimize those days for both cow and sheep milk?

Principles of Grassfed Dairy with Sally Fallon

Grassfed milk comes from animals fed primarily on grass rather than grain, and the movement has roots in traditional grazing practices and a push back against industrialized farming, emphasizing nutrient-dense milk and soil health.
S2:E18 Dandelion Hill Farm Pt 1
Q: What predators do you have with your flock?
