Perfect balance of entertaining and analysis which makes you think
Not only does this podcast cater to little (w)horror lovers like myself, it also broadcasts feminist views, racial equality, gender equality, and basic human rights. The Whorrors! podcast is a breath of fresh air for anyone who is sick and tired of patriarchal views taking over the horror genre. Just like the final girl, The Whorrors are fighting their way to the top and it’s not something you want to miss!
As an English major and horror movie fan, I absolutely love this podcast.
The dynamic between these two hosts is so entertaining, and the critical analysis of the films is engaging and compelling (especially as it often leans into feminist and queer readings, which is my bread and butter.)
This show has become one of my comfort podcasts because of the lovely vibe these two have. 🥰
In Halloween 2018 review.
Wow where to begin.. This podcast is the perfect concoction or insightful and engaging media review, sex and gender education, and womanly power. I am obsessed. Horror movies have always been extremely upsetting to me to say the least yet here I am every day binge listening to these episodes. 100/10 Recommend this podcast! Looking out for the merch 👀❤️🩹

A sharp two-host horror critique built on feminist and cultural readings of standout titles. Across episodes, the show blends rigorous analysis of gender dynamics, agency, and power with lively banter, pop culture references, and clear enthusiasm for female-centered narratives in horror. Regular threads include how films deploy imagery, motherhood themes, and social commentary, along with a knack for connecting genre specifics to broader cultural conversations. Notably, the duo frequently foregrounds politics, representation, and spectatorship, making the show a compelling pick for listeners who want thoughtful critique wrapped in accessible, entertaining discussion.
