Love the take on news!! Love how you let us pick the top stories! Great online interaction; also like how you explain how the stories become top stories. Great way to get your quick recap of the weekly news!
#ThisIsTheConversation gives a great informative recap of top weekly news stories, a nice jumping point to get a quick glimpse into the weekly news and then from there be able to decide which stories you'd like to explore further if you wish. I didn't fully follow the stats/bracket breakdowns but host J Cleveland Payne's pacing was just fast enough for me to not to get hung up on that. I really enjoyed his short but sweet insight and thoughts on the societal impacts and issues at play with each... more
Full of information diving into current events and beyond. John’s voice is like butter and a joy to hear.
J really puts a great beat on the news with his smooth voice and direct approach. I really enjoyed the bit in the 3/17 episode speaking on Martin Schrecke as J offered some really funny moments in his serious update on the affair of which we are all familiar.
The perfect “Readers Digest” of News for podcasts. more
This is a great place to get your weekly news fix in small, easily digestible bites. The host keeps things moving as he runs through the most popular news stories as voted on by the audience. Great host, I am adding this pod to my rotation for sure!
People love recaps and J Payne does a fine job. Quality of the podcast is great. You'll find a number of obscure news stories that you may not necessarily get on the news. I had no idea about the tradegy at the David Lloyd's Club.
This show totally feels like the news segments in between music on regular radio. The host does a great job of updating that for the social media world with stories pulled from his Social Media feed. It’s a great concept and very well executed. His voice is perfect for this kind of thing, and I like that aside from a few little remarks here and there, he mostly stays out of the way and just reports the news that’s happening.
