There is a very significant, “exhausted majority” of Americans looking to move past this rotten moment in American life. They have lost trust and faith in government, business, media and not-for-profit institutions at a moment of technological, cultural and economic upheaval. Fascism did not rise in the 1930s because it was strong, but rather, because democracy was weak. The cycle is repeating its... more

  • Perfect mash up!

Today’s episode with Jennifer and Pump (I’ve Had It/IHIP News), was the mash up I needed to hear!! Steve nails it daily, and when you toss in some Dean Blundell…it’s truth and facts, with some much needed laughter. Great listen every time.

Ken Harbaugh, thank you for the work you’ve done. If only our tv personality could have had the dignity, fortitude, intelligence, patriotism, honor, and love of country of Zelensky. I find it interesting that that comparison has not been made—two tv personalities who made such different life choices.

  • GOP is weak

The Republican media blitz is on.. Our friends and neighbors will be convinced to vote against their own interests because of shiny ads, full of lies.

Inoculate your friends and family against Republican attack ads. Repubs lie! Turn off their ads! Turn away! It’s their psychological ops.

We’re living through decades of Republican trickle down economics, and people are struggling.

Democrats are NOT weak. The Republicans are weak, and they show it every day.

Holy War on Democracy | Steve Schmidt and Congressman Jared Huffman
Q: Well, why is there such a problem on two fronts and how do we respond?
Stress the need to articulate clear constitutional values (free speech, free religion, habeas corpus) and to expose the coercive, militant aspects of Christian nationalism while highlighting inclusive American values.
Holy War on Democracy | Steve Schmidt and Congressman Jared Huffman
Q: How should this be confronted by the Democrats who are going to make serious presidential wants?
Explain how religious freedom and separation resonate with a broad base, and push back against theocrats by clarifying policy implications rather than engaging in faith-based political talking points.

Q: Well, do you think that... how should this be confronted?
The guests suggest that the first step is to openly discuss and name the threat, then mobilize Democrats and broader constituencies around religious freedom and church-state separation.

Frequently Asked Questions About The Warning

What is The Warning about and what kind of topics does it cover?

The series centers political analysis with a sharp, unapologetic stance toward current U.S. leadership and policy, frequently critiquing MAGA-era governance, media narratives, and national security issues.
