My name is Rosemary and I do know what you are talking about. I’m 78 and the memories of the past bring more smiles to me than the life achievements of my career. I believe it is acknowledging and respecting the importance of childhood and young adulthood. Enjoy it for it is God’ grace.

  • Jack shut up

Victor, your knowledge is simply the best. I enjoy your calming voice but you really need to do something about Jack Fowler. It takes him five minutes to ask a simple question he stammer he stutters he goes off track all the time. As a show today with his cold was the worst.

My own character flaws, combined with bouts of irritability, and the sin of using the gift of words as a weapon, led me to post a running commentary filled with peevish and unfair criticism. I am very sorry and without excuse.

Intermixed with all the undeserved personal lambasting was one substantive critique that has merit. So, while deleting the har... more

  • Loyal listener

I am a loyal listener since the Classicist. I would like to hear VDH comment on:

    1. The older congresswoman who challenged Hegseth on the poor record of warship construction. She made a good point. I wish we could rely on Korean shipyards for 50 missile frigates.

    2. It sounds like Rahm Emanuel is looking to lead the rational wing of the DNC in the next election.

    3. You should not be so dismissive of China technology. Sure, they copy — but their trains, busses, cars are of excellent quality. If... more
