  • Great O’s Podcast

I usually agree with most of what you folks say…however, I couldn’t disagree more with the perfect scenario being to sign Juan Soto. His ego didn’t work here in San Diego and he’s a hack in the outfield. I don’t think that his personality would mesh with this young team.

    Love the work fellas….

  • My favorite podcast.

Lifelong Os fan. None of my friends are so finding this pod has been awesome. I’ve never known more about baseball or Orioles minor league. Honestly I’d pay twice what I do for the patron chat.

  • Need to work on throwing to commercials

I like the pod. Its in my wheelhouse as a die hard O’s fan who enjoys learning more about the prospects coming up. The hosts are knowledgeable even if they are almost always wearing orange tinted glasses.

My big problem with this is pod is the production level is amateur hour. They drop in commercials in the middle of one of the hosts or guests talking. It is nice they have advertising but please do a better job throwing to the commercials rather than randomly dropping them in. Whether they can... more

Q: What is your take on the Rule 5 eligible arms—who is most likely to be held onto versus dealt?
The debate centers on weighing long-term value versus immediate needs, with strong emphasis on preserving top arms like De Leon, Wells, Erman, and Hermann, while considering trades for players with higher current value and flexibility based on the 40-man status and season progression.
March Mailbag
Q: Which bullpen arms are most likely to see the opening day roster and who could be added via the waiver wire?
The group discusses Kittredge's injury as a potential obstacle but notes the depth in the system, with candidates like Espada, Geraldo, Nunez, and Foster as potential fill-ins, while also highlighting the importance of strategic waiver-wire acquisitions later in camp.
March Mailbag
Q: What is your ideal prospect tool set on the 20-80 scale, and who fits it best?
The hosts propose a balanced profile with solid hitting, power, speed, defense, and arm, with Enrique Bradfield and Luis de Leon being highlighted as players who best fit a well-rounded, impact-ready combination, depending on positional needs and development trajectories.
March Mailbag
Q: From Peter, should Luis de Leon start in Norfolk or Chesapeake this season?
The consensus is that de Leon should likely start in AA (the team's current position), with a path to AAA as he demonstrates continued development and health, while considering how the crowded rotation picture could affect his placement.
January Mailbag
Q: What is your level of comfort with the Orioles going into the season as is?
A seven out of ten, acknowledging optimism along with a lot of questions and unknowns while emphasizing the improvements from last year.
