  • I don’t usually write podcast reviews…

But I have been meaning to write one for this podcast for a long time now.

Every time I listen to it, I think “I should write a review to let Anna know she’s so good at what she does”

I really enjoy the way she interviews her guests - her questions are always thoughtful, and show that she’s really listening to them, and that she has a genuine interest in what they’re saying. She doesn’t rush them along, or move on to the next question without an intentional response to their previous answer.

  • Almost perfect

I’m loving this new-to-me podcast. It has great guests with excellent content on topics I’m interested in. The host is sweet, but needs to get the “likes” under control. It’s horribly distracting.

  • Must listen podcast!

Incredible interviews and education content that has helped me change my photography work. I never treated my photography as a business, but now I feel like I can start charging more for my work and hopefully one day quit my day job!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Daniel Kim on Pricing Film Photography
Q: How do you balance offering film as part of a package with clients who want digital as a base?
I price for the artist I am and what I can deliver as a complete experience, using film as a valued component rather than a separate add-on, ensuring the client gets a cohesive, high-quality result.
Chandla Manning on the Rise of Wedding Content Creators
Q: Before we started recording, you said that you studied psychology. How does that come into it? ... how has your formal learning in human psychology and interaction impacted the way that you capture these moments?
My psychology background helps me predict moments, anticipate interactions, and stay emotionally attuned to the couple and their guests, allowing me to capture genuine reactions and connections without being intrusive.
Chandla Manning on the Rise of Wedding Content Creators
Q: Chandla, it is so exciting having you on. This is kind of the first podcast that we've done of this type. Would you mind just introducing yourself and telling us a little bit about what you do?
I'm Chandla Manning, owner of Socially Wed, a wedding day content agency. We shoot the day as it unfolds on an iPhone to capture intimate, in-between moments and the emotional core of the day.
EP90 - The Photographer/Videographer Dynamic on a Wedding Day -- with Georgia & Micah, and Kristin Meuth
Q: What advice would you give to anyone who's just starting out in the industry?
Kristin emphasizes the importance of putting one's ego aside and recognizing that it's the couple's special day, not about individual contributions.
EP90 - The Photographer/Videographer Dynamic on a Wedding Day -- with Georgia & Micah, and Kristin Meuth
Q: How do you make it clear that you are on the same page?
Micah explains that communication about expectations and the outcome of the wedding theme is crucial for aligning actions.
