So I randomly stumbled upon this and got started with the *excellent* Soviet-Afghan war series; maybe a month ago—and my continuous binge-listening since has nearly caught me up with the entire back catalogue.Life story out of the way; let’s get to the Podcast:- The storytelling is excellent- it truly lives up to its name—I had never heard of some of these conflicts before and I’m grateful that I have now—because the host has never failed to deliver on his promise of “you should care and I’m goi... more
Great podcast, engaging and historically accurate.
I came across this podcast because it was one of the few out there that talked about the Paraguayan War and now I’m hooked! James does a good job of balancing research, clear narrative and humor to make some of history’s lesser-known wars feel human and real. My only problem is that I can listen to them faster than he can produce them!
James has created and maintains one of the finest podcast experiences I have had the privilege of enjoying. If you are even slightly interested in military history, do yourself a favor and check this show out. The man just doesn’t miss.
Always interesting
