Great show, but I believe David has misunderstood the use of the Bell military drone. He mentioned magazines, but I think he understood this as paper entertainment publishments, when in fact they were referring to fully loaded ammo magazines for rifles. Ammo, water and MREs are exactly what a front-line force would need delivered in battle in very hostile areas.
Great niche source of unmanned aircraft news. Especially strong coverage of applications of small UAVs and FAA rules for UAVs. Light coverage of military and large UAVs, academic research, and adjacencies (eg, other autonomous systems, autopilots). They've also built a small community on Slack. It's only 30 minutes weekly, but since it's so niche I skip some episodes. I wish they branched out a bit more to get a bit more variety, but for what they specialize in they're fantastic.
I started listening to UAV Digest shortly after buying a Mavic 2 Pro. Although I was aware the world of UAV was much deeper than consumer drones, I didn’t know how much. Thanks to Max and David, my outlook on the potential of this industry has grown. Their show is very informative and well produced. I look forward to downloading it every Friday. Thanks guys!
Thank you for your weekly shows!! I look forward to listening to you guys on my drive to work!!!
