  • Excellent and Humbling

Max and Rob do a great job bringing tragic situations to us that happened to somebody else so we can remember what airplanes and Mother Nature can do to us if we slip up, often just for a second or two.

It's really easy for some hubris to rear its ugly head and to think that these were dumb pilots flying these planes. It can be hard to remember that every smart and capable pilot (yes, us) does a dumb thing once in a while. Those of us who are living more than likely just had better luck when th... more

  • Could be better

While I generally enjoy this podcast and find it informative, covering new accidents, then the preliminary/interim NSTB reports and then final reports means at some point you’ll be covering a single accident three times, which is unnecessary and adds little in the way of knowledge. Lose the initial/interim section and spend more time on more final reports…there’s a bunch out there. Also, while Rob Mark seems like a nice guy, he adds little to the show beyond “if only…” folksy platitudes.
