Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

“Everything Optics & Glassing ” - with Ayden & James Doumtsis
Q: What sort of group should I be shooting for pig hunting?
A tennis ball size group at 20 meters is adequate, but it's ideal to try for smaller groups for better accuracy.
“Against All Odds” - with Ayden & James Doumtsis
Q: Do you always prefer to shoot a Bantang or Buffalo Bull standing as opposed to a bedded animal? What are the pros and cons?
I personally would rather shoot one standing because when they're bedded, they tuck up their elbows which limits shot choices.
“Against All Odds” - with Ayden & James Doumtsis
Q: What is your ideal distance for a bow shot on both Bantang and Buffalo Bulls?
As close as possible is ideal, generally less than 30 meters for us on most hunts.
“USA Gear Guide” - with Ayden & James Doumtsis
Q: What release aids do you recommend for target panic?
We suggest using a hinge or back tension release as they help manage target panic by providing a surprise element to the shot.
“The Honey Hole” - with Ayden Doumtsis
Q: Any recommendations on how to choose a brand of arrow to shoot?
Consider cost, durability, and what experienced hunters trust. Many reputable brands like Day 6 and Nexus offer quality arrows.
