Yes, it's narrated. But it's also soundscaped, with some subtle—and some not-so-subtle—sound effects to enhance the experience. Caution: The narrator's voice is extremely soothing. I'm not saying you'll fall asleep listening if you're stoned, but it can happen.

I loved the protagonist: he’s down to earth and sardonic but he becomes completely unhinged when it comes to the safety of his dog, which is just so relatable. The Trees Swallow People is a great piece of atmosphere horror with excellent storytelling and production. The horror aspect is original, interesting and certainly very creepy. But it also isn’t overly oppressive as the show provides moments of high tension, sadness and even levity.
