    I really enjoyed your Blue Velvet review—it was thoughtful, engaging, and a great listen, especially as the first episode I heard from you. But when I got to The Shining episode, I was honestly disappointed. It ended up being one of the worst podcast episodes I’ve come across. It felt dominated by one guest’s thesis paper on race, representation, equality, and sexism—ideas that, while important in their own right, completely overshadowed any real discussion of the film itself.     I first heard about this pod when Tim was a guest on the Evolution of Horror’s Patreon episode about Roger Corman (RIP) and The Masque of the Red Death. I was so excited because when the S&S list came out, I thought it’d be great to slowly work my way through the list but it’s way more fun to do so with such a knowledgeable and engaging guide.
