  • Unfortunately a huge miss!

I had high hopes, but was sadly disappointed. Left wondering who the target audience is?? I’m a mom of adults and teens and wouldn’t add this to my list - it’s too forced. And if the target is young parents, it’s far too cringy for them (I asked a few)!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Tim Schindel: Leading by Ministering to Leaders
Q: What does healthy Christian engagement look like in federal politics?
Healthy engagement means Christians being salt and light without being combative—sharing values through relationship-building, respectful dialogue, and visible acts of kindness, while not compromising core beliefs. It involves participating in the political process in constructive ways, such as involvement in party processes and community outreach, rather than canceling out or demonizing those with different views.
Tim Schindel: Leading by Ministering to Leaders
Q: Share a little bit about what Leading Influence does and how it has evolved since 2006.
Leading Influence provides spiritual and emotional care to Canadian politicians, with a focus on proactive, relational support that helps leaders govern more effectively. Over the years it has expanded from pastoral care to include regular check-ins, in-person visits, mental health outreach, and structured partnerships with churches and other community groups to foster healthier, faith-informed leadership.
Andrea Mrozek and Peter Jon Mitchell: Finding Hope Through Research And Data
Q: Why is cohabitation often portrayed as equivalent to marriage in public discourse, despite the data?
Cohabitation is treated as a testing phase, but data show it does not provide the same long-term stability or outcomes for children as marriage, which is essential to address in policy and culture.
Andrea Mrozek and Peter Jon Mitchell: Finding Hope Through Research And Data
Q: How do you reconcile biblical theology with social science in your work?
We see social science as unifying and accessible, helping people understand and value marriage regardless of faith background, while theology provides a high view of marriage across denominations.
Special Guest Katie Leigh: The Voice of Connie from Adventures in Odyssey
Q: What aspects of working on Adventures in Odyssey have been most meaningful to you personally?
Katie highlights the family-like atmosphere in the studio, the support from fellow believers, and how the audience's connection to the characters makes the work feel purposeful beyond just a job.
