  • The mask is completely ripped off.

Love this episode. Love Addie Martin. I met her at the screening of world’s greatest enemy in New York and also got to meet her husband who is one of the first veterans I saw protesting the Iraq war. A few years ago, Abby Martin was one of the first people I saw speaking out against the guys genocide. She was the first to enlighten me. So happy you had her on your show. It’s because of people like you who keep advocating for justice and the sanctity of life. Thank you, Myriam for this fantastic ... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Civil War is Coming
Q: What is your critique of the January 6th events and the broader political climate in the U.S.?
The respondent frames the January 6th events as engineered or set up by elements within the government, reflecting a deep mistrust of political institutions and democracy.
Civil War is Coming
Q: Do you think the U.S. would benefit from reducing its involvement in overseas conflicts?
Yes; he argues that the U.S. has overperformed militarily, upended by hubris, and that a more cautious, non-interventionist approach would be better for long-term stability and national interests.
How AI Is Threatening Democracy!
Q: What practical steps can individuals take to protect privacy and democratic norms?
Engage with privacy-respecting tools (e.g., Signal, DuckDuckGo, ProtonMail), reduce unnecessary online sharing, preserve analog activities like reading physical books, and support organizations and policies that increase transparency and accountability in AI deployment.
How AI Is Threatening Democracy!
Q: Why is predictions-as-facts dangerous in a democracy?
Predictions are often presented as objective forecasts, but they function as prescriptions that guide behavior and policy; when treated as facts, they bypass accountability and enable powerful actors to shape outcomes without transparent scrutiny.
How AI Is Threatening Democracy!
Q: How has our perception of privacy evolved from the pre-digital era to today?
Privacy has shifted from a state of relative abundance to a condition that is constantly negotiated; public awareness rose after mass-revealed data incidents like Snowden, and regulatory steps like GDPR began changing the discourse, but the adoption of new technologies continues to outpace policy.
