  • Tom made show

Loved the shows with Tom. He had real wisdom. I gave the show a chance after he left. When the other hosts made negative comments about Tom’s age (like they were better just because they are younger) - I decided to quit and close my account. Tom was the foundation. Without him - it’s an empty vessel. And criticizing his age is very weak.

  • Hard to listen to

I’m a new listener to the show. Wasn’t quite sure what they were going for. But the June 20 episode was really hard to listen to. I hope it gets better.

  • Need to give the shows their own podcasts

All of the shows are corralled into one podcast so that every show is just an episode of tastytrade. This makes subscribing impossible because I want to subscribe to only like 4 or 5 shows… not 12, and it forces you to get them all. It would be wonderful if I could subscribe to Overtime, Macro Money, and Price of Truth separately that way my podcast app could auto download them and I could follow them. I had to unsubscribe because I would have to scroll through not just a ton of podcasts that ar... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

From Theory to Practice - April 1, 2026
Q: What strategy do you prefer for low volatility?
Long vertical spreads and long diagonal spreads are my go-tos for low volatility, with calendars used selectively to manage duration and risk.
Confirm and Send - March 24, 2026
Q: Where can I see information on the trade sizes going through and is tracking that type of information actionable?
You can see it by backtracking on minute-by-minute charts, looking at volume in futures and in the ES, but tracking the information in real time isn't usually actionable for following trades.
Confirm and Send - March 24, 2026
Q: As market volatility rises, do you worry more about your vega?
I do not. I worry about my extrinsic value because that's going to change, and when volatility rises, positions may move in the opposite direction of what you expect, so you have to monitor how extrinsic value evolves.
Live From the Trade Desk - March 20, 2026
Q: What do you got for us today? How's the Trade Desk?
Q discusses expiration-driven activity, the importance of managing upcoming expirations, and how traders can position themselves around volatility, with emphasis on staying aware of assignment risk and using parity concepts to decide on rolls or closes.
Let Me Explain - March 11, 2026
Q: What is the core takeaway for traders in this volatile regime?
Be nimble and adjust exposure as moves unfold, using strategies like diagonals or calendars to balance risk and time, while maintaining the ability to participate on both sides of a move.
