  • Tom made show

Loved the shows with Tom. He had real wisdom. I gave the show a chance after he left. When the other hosts made negative comments about Tom’s age (like they were better just because they are younger) - I decided to quit and close my account. Tom was the foundation. Without him - it’s an empty vessel. And criticizing his age is very weak.

  • Hard to listen to

I’m a new listener to the show. Wasn’t quite sure what they were going for. But the June 20 episode was really hard to listen to. I hope it gets better.

  • Need to give the shows their own podcasts

All of the shows are corralled into one podcast so that every show is just an episode of tastytrade. This makes subscribing impossible because I want to subscribe to only like 4 or 5 shows… not 12, and it forces you to get them all. It would be wonderful if I could subscribe to Overtime, Macro Money, and Price of Truth separately that way my podcast app could auto download them and I could follow them. I had to unsubscribe because I would have to scroll through not just a ton of podcasts that ar... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Options Trading Concepts Live - April 20, 2026 - Crypto Update April 20th
Q: Ryan, how are you trading oil against your crypto positions when correlations shift?
Oil acts as a relative energy proxy; I lean long energy against long crypto positions only when geopolitical risk could push oil higher and crypto lower, using this to offset risk; I also use short-term premium selling in crude to capture IV while actively managing delta exposure.
Live From the Trade Desk - April 10, 2026
Q: How do you manage risk when you're on vacation or during the summer months?
The hosts discuss taking some risk off the table, reducing position sizes, and prioritizing sleep and peace of mind while away, with the idea that you may re-enter or adjust positions later if the market moves in your direction.
Live From the Trade Desk - April 10, 2026
Q: So what does that mean to you on The Trade Desk? Does it get a lot more busy or are people kind of cleaned up their positions by expiration?
Jason explains that around monthly expirations, many non-Tasty Trade viewers tend to hold positions through the week of expiration, while others still call in for position management and adjustments; overall, activity and questions spike around expiration, but the specifics depend on each trader's risk tolerance and strategy.
From Theory to Practice - April 10, 2026
Q: Does a stock making a hard move change where you put your strikes when selling options?
Not necessarily the movement itself; it's the impact on implied volatility that matters. If IV/IVR is high, you can either widen strikes to collect a similar credit or stay near the same delta and try to collect more credit, depending on your risk tolerance and portfolio.
From Theory to Practice - April 1, 2026
Q: What strategy do you prefer for low volatility?
Long vertical spreads and long diagonal spreads are my go-tos for low volatility, with calendars used selectively to manage duration and risk.
