  • Tom made show

Loved the shows with Tom. He had real wisdom. I gave the show a chance after he left. When the other hosts made negative comments about Tom’s age (like they were better just because they are younger) - I decided to quit and close my account. Tom was the foundation. Without him - it’s an empty vessel. And criticizing his age is very weak.

  • Hard to listen to

I’m a new listener to the show. Wasn’t quite sure what they were going for. But the June 20 episode was really hard to listen to. I hope it gets better.

  • Need to give the shows their own podcasts

All of the shows are corralled into one podcast so that every show is just an episode of tastytrade. This makes subscribing impossible because I want to subscribe to only like 4 or 5 shows… not 12, and it forces you to get them all. It would be wonderful if I could subscribe to Overtime, Macro Money, and Price of Truth separately that way my podcast app could auto download them and I could follow them. I had to unsubscribe because I would have to scroll through not just a ton of podcasts that ar... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Confirm and Send - July 10, 2026
Q: For a double calendar, which matters more: stock staying near strike vs. front month volatility collapsing relative to back month?
Both matter, but staying near the strike is more critical for a double calendar because the time-value relationship between front and back months drives profitability; price movement through strikes can disrupt the structure and reduce payoff.
Confirm and Send - July 10, 2026
Q: At market open, is there a real price discovery phase in options after the stock has opened? How long do you usually wait before trusting the bid-ask and IV?
They explain that price discovery is an ongoing process, with liquid indices tightening quickly but illiquid stocks and ADRs taking longer to establish tight bid-ask and reliable IV, so traders should wait for liquidity to develop rather than assuming an opening quote is representative.
Risk & Reward - July 10, 2026 - Risk and Reward
Q: What do you think will be the dominant driver for SK Hynix's price action on day one, given the current memory stock environment?
The guests and hosts agree that hedging activity, ETF exposure (like EWY), and proximity to other memory names will shape the opening direction, with room for both initial volatility and later reversion as hedges unwind and liquidity concentrates around established value areas.
Confirm and Send - July 17, 2026
Q: How do you separate IV that is high because of temporary fear from IV that is high due to real repricing?
Consider where the VIX is, look at the context of earnings and overall market setup, and use small, incremental sizing to test the market without overcommitting.
Confirm and Send - July 17, 2026
Q: VIX is climbing, but still under 20 in a falling market; what does that imply?
VIX staying relatively calm suggests that fear is not spiking despite the market drop, and traders should watch for how volatility may translate into opportunity rather than panic.
